“Every mountain top is within reach if you keep climbing.”

BRC since 1965
The Brisbane Rockclimbing Club was originally founded in 1965, but was re-established in its present form in 1987 as a means of promoting communication and social interactions between climbers.
Our club is primarily a social club and forum through which you can meet other experienced rock climbers. The Club does not own any gear or supply insurance. All climbing is done by private individuals.
Today, BRC’s activities are managed by a team of passionate volunteer committee members who are dedicated to creating numerous opportunities for members to come together and share their love for climbing.
Weekly Climbing at Kangaroo Point
Every Tuesday evening around 5:00 pm, many of our members gather to climb at Kangaroo Point. Look for our committee members wearing BRC T-shirts and our BRC flag nearby.
If the weather is wet or looks threatening (check the BOM radar), a group typically heads to Urban Climb in West End or another indoor climbing gym in Brisbane.
Weekends and Day Trips
Throughout the year, BRC organises weekends and day trips to various climbing locations around Southeast Queensland.
These trips are social events, providing a great opportunity for newcomers to climb with different people and learn from more experienced climbers. Explore our Club Trips archive.
Social Events
BRC also organizes climbing-related social events year-round, such as gear nights, BBQs, climbing film nights, a mid-year party, and a Christmas Party held in conjunction with the AGM.
